My Story

All of my life, I have felt that I have been aesthetically inclined. As a little girl, I loved to paint, and by the time I graduated high school I had decided – against my teacher’s better wishes – to become an artist. As an amateur painter and an undergraduate at F.I.T., I was turned onto cosmetics while shopping at Dior in Macy’s Herald Square. Simona– a beauty ambassador and former painter – explained to me that the color-matching techniques used in the more traditional artistic mediums all translated into the world of makeup. In my fine arts course of study, I discovered in a color theory class that I had a particular affinity for color matching while blending three primary colors of oil paint on a palette and matching them to conceal a magazine clipping within a larger canvas. In that moment, I realized that in the world of advertising I could utilize my artistic talents to help people develop confidence and express their identities through aesthetic desires.

Over the years, I have had a wide range of experiences in the industry, including periods of employment at such well-known luxury beauty companies as :

Laura Mercier, Bare Escentuals, NYX Professional Cosmetics, Lush, and Sabon

Lifestyle Brands such as :

Fossil, Marc Jacobs, Alice and Olivia, Micheal Khors

Restaurants such as:

Saks Fifth Avenue, Jajaja Mexicana, Prince Tea House and the Gramercy Tavern

Along the way, I have also earned an A.A.S. in Communication Design and a B.F.A. in Graphic Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology, winning awards in the L’Oréal Professional Japan Babylips design showcase and the Japan Art Competition for Textile and Image and Design. With my small business , I have had the opportunity of working alongside premier artists and entrepreneurs in cosmetics, hospitality, and green spaces. In cosmetics I have worked alongside global artists such as Jerry Johnson, Tanya Burr, Alexis Comforti and Luis Soto. In hospitality, Jajaja, Gelso and Grand, Carbone, and Haitus Tequila. In the Art and Theater, Jessica Hollander, Judith Estrine, and Brooke Rosenbaum.

As someone who has worked seamlessly in several careers, I am particularly quick at mastering new duties and as Server at the Gramercy tavern , I have picked up quite a bit of knowledge about the heart of Hospitality while on the floor. However, as a people person, my true passion has always been for interacting with clients and using the services to tell their story. I’m often asked how I can continuously be at the top of my sales amongst my peers, but my answer is simple,;

Know your clientele

Find what it is that makes them unique

Get inspired

and the rest is simple.
